Davit-S Paste

DEVIT-S, an arsenic-free dental material designed for pulp devitalization during endodontic treatment. This dough-like material is used to devitalize the pulp of both temporary and permanent teeth as a primary treatment for pulpitis or as a secondary measure following the use of arsenic-based materials. DEVIT-S contains paraformaldehyde as its primary antiseptic and devitalizing agent, along with creosote for its bactericidal properties. Lidocaine hydrochloride is included for local anesthesia, aiming to minimize potential pain reactions during the devitalization process. The material is formulated to provide a long-lasting and relatively painless pulp devitalization, offering an alternative that avoids the use of arsenic salts and the need for neutralizing agents.
